  • What is Full Spectrum CBD? How is it different from CBD?
Although CBD is the most “famous” cannabinoid, it is just one of over 80+ cannabinoids that can be extracted from hemp. In fact, scientists found that these plant compounds have a better effect on the body when they work together rather than alone (also known as the “entourage effect”). This means that CBD plus all those other great compounds can support the body more fully than CBD alone. Our Full Spectrum hemp extract provides you with all the beneficial and naturally occurring cannabinoids, terpenes, polyphenols, flavonoids, and sterols for a stronger entourage effect.
  • How does CBD work?
Our bodies have a vast network of receptors, called the Endocannabinoid System. Its purpose is to help us stay balanced, even when challenged by external factors and certain lifestyle choices. CBD and other cannabinoids fit into those receptors helping us stay in good health by supporting many of the body’s physical processes. Since full spectrum hemp extract (that contains all cannabinoids) works with the body’s internal Endocannabinoid System to maintain good health, the effect is personalized based on what you have going on internally. That being said, quite a few people feel calm, relaxed, and focused. Many people also feel that CBD helps with physical recovery and inflammation. The best way to find out how CBD will work for you, is to try it yourself!
  • Who can use CBD? What are the side effects?
CBD is generally well tolerated and considered safe. As with any other supplement, there is a chance that it could cause adverse reactions for some people, and/ or could interact with certain medications. As with any dietary supplement, consult your physician before use if you are pregnant, nursing, have or suspect a medical condition or are taking any medications.
  • What are Cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are the primary chemical compounds produced by the cannabis plant. They have been claimed to provide relief to an array of symptoms including pain, nausea, anxiety, and inflammation. They do so by imitating compounds our bodies naturally produce, called endocannabinoids, which act to maintain internal stability and health. Cannabinoids are vital in the functioning of our immune and nervous systems. There are over 80 identified cannabinoids that the hemp plant produces naturally. Of those, Cannabidiol (CBD) is the most widely known. Other known hemp cannabinoids include Cannabigerol (CBG), Cannabichromene (CBC).
  • Do you have special hemp varieties?
Yes. B-11 is our in-house hemp seed variety, which we have been cultivating and developing over the last five years in different fields across Colorado. In 2018, the B-11 variety was approved by the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) and the Colorado Seed Growers Association (CSGA) as a certified and exclusive industrial hemp variety. Lab tests conducted by the CDA yielded consistently positive results, ensuring that THC levels are below the 0.3% threshold, while the levels of CBD and other cannabinoids remain high. Our B11 will give you the full benefit of a range of other rich cannabinoids, not just CBD In addition to our proprietary strain, B-11, we cultivate and grow a variety of certified strains, all grown under our strict in-house protocols, in the trusted hands of the local farmers we collaborate with.
  • What extraction method do you use?
Potent uses CO2 extraction as its method of extraction. CO2 extraction is a process that uses pressurized carbon dioxide to pull the desired phytochemicals (CBD) from a plant. This method has proven to be one of the most versatile, cleanest, and safest means of producing hemp concentrates. It is also considered the more viable alternative to other methods of separation and extraction, as well as the most expensive one. CO2 is already a standard extraction method for the food and herbal supplement industries: from the decaffeination of coffee and tea to the extraction of essential oils for perfumes, this process has become commonplace in many fields. CO2 is beneficial for the hemp concentrate market due to its customizability factor, and also because at certain temperatures and pressures it acts as a solvent, without the dangers of actually being one. When CO2 extraction is used to its fullest potential, the range of CO2-based products can be much broader than other extraction methods. Modification of pressure, temperature, and solvent ratios allows us to create various products, ranging from vaporizer-friendly oils to dabbing concentrates such as waxes, crumbles, and even shatters and saps.
  • What is the difference between CO2 extraction and other methods?
There are several techniques available for extracting hemp. The two most common techniques utilized by extraction facilities across the industry are CO2 extraction and ethanol extraction. We prefer the CO2 extraction over the ethanol based technique as the CO2 method has proven to be one of the most versatile, cleanest, and safest means of producing hemp concentrates. It is also considered the more viable alternative to other methods of separation and extraction, as well as the most expensive one. • What are the certifications for your products?
cGMP Organically grown Non GMO Vegan Pesticides Free Cruelty Free
  • Is your farm sustainable?
We are committed to growing sustainable hemp — with both a positive environmental and social impact. We promote regenerative agriculture principles to leverage hemp properties for regenerating soils. Hemp production is indeed carbon negative: the plant absorbs more of it during its growth than what is emitted by the equipment used for harvesting, its processing and its transport. One hectare of hemp can absorb up to 15 tons of CO2. We value our way of farming not only for its environmental benefits, but also its social impact. We thrive on fair business relationships and we empower our farmers by collaborating together for the best quality standards.
